The Missions, Texas

In December 2014, we took a weekend trip to San Antonio, Texas to celebrate my birthday. We visited the Alamo (everybody that goes to San Antonio should visit the Alamo), the 4 Spanish colonial Missions - Concepcion, San Jose, San Juan, Espada - and the Aqueduct.
Mission Conception is the oldest unrestored stone church in America, while Mission Espada is the first mission in Texas, established in 1690.
Visiting the Alamo and the Missions is a great way to learn about the Texas history.

The Missions are relatively close to downtown San Antonio. The first one is about 3 miles away and the rest of them are within 1-2 miles distance from each other. If you would like to see a map. click on one of the 2 links below. They both have it.

Below I posted pictures from our trip and hopefully that will inspire you to go see them! It is worth it!
